Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms," "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Citizen Calc: Business & GST mobile application ("Application," "App," or "Service") operated by the development team ("us," "we," or "our").


By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, do not download, install, or use the Application.


1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

Citizen Calc: Business & GST is a mobile utility application designed for iOS devices that simulates classic and advanced desktop business calculators. Features include:

- Check & Correct step-by-step review and audit functionality (up to 120/200 steps)

- Auto Check automated playback

- Dual tax computation (+GST Add & −GST Deduct shortcuts: +3%...+28%, -3%...-28%)

- Memory functions (M+, M-, MRC)

- Grand Total (GT) accumulation

- Markup (MU) calculation

- Customizable authentic visual themes and quick-calculation mental math games


2. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF ACCURACY

2.1 No Professional Tax, Financial, or Accounting Advice

CRITICAL NOTICE: Citizen Calc: Business & GST is provided solely as a general computational aid. The Application, its built-in GST rate presets, and calculation outputs do NOT constitute professional financial, accounting, legal, or statutory tax advice.


2.2 Disclaimer of Calculation Accuracy

While we strive for high mathematical precision using standard iOS high-precision decimal arithmetic, we do NOT guarantee or warrant that the calculations, tax percentages, rounding algorithms, or historical records produced by the App are 100% error-free, complete, or suitable for official statutory filings.

- You are solely responsible for verifying all calculations before submitting official tax returns, issuing financial invoices, or executing commercial transactions.

- We shall not be held liable for any calculation errors, computational discrepancies, financial penalties, tax reassessments, or commercial losses resulting from your reliance on the App.


3. TRADEMARK AND BRAND NOTICE / NON-AFFILIATION

TRADEMARK NOTICE: "Citizen" is a registered trademark of Citizen Systems Japan Co., Ltd. and Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd.

Citizen Calc is an independent calculation tool. The Application is NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or endorsed by Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd., Citizen Systems Japan Co., Ltd., or any of their affiliates. Any reference to "Citizen-style" or desktop calculator layouts is strictly descriptive of common physical electronic desktop calculator user interfaces.

All other trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced in the App belong to their respective holders.


4. FREE FULL ACCESS & LICENSING

Citizen Calc: Business & GST is made freely accessible. All calculation types, GST customization tools, Check & Correct audit step memory, and visual themes are available for personal and professional calculation use without mandatory recurring subscriptions.


5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Except where third-party intellectual property is acknowledged, the Application, including its original source code, digital LCD design, beveled key components, sounds, and visual presentation, is the property of the developer and protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.


6. PROHIBITED USES

You agree not to:

- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Application.

- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Application.

- Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international laws.

- Exploit the Application for unauthorized commercial resale or distribution.


7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY

- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE

- NON-INFRINGEMENT

- FREEDOM FROM BUGS, ERRORS, OR INTERRUPTIONS


8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS REVENUE

- ERRORS IN TAX COMPUTATIONS OR ACCOUNTING LIABILITIES

- HARDWARE MALFUNCTION OR LOSS OF DEVICE STORAGE


9. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles.


10. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

We reserve the right to revise or replace these Terms at any time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms will be refreshed. Continued use of the Application after revisions constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
